Uncle Sam is Sending Single Moms Back to College
Eligible students can receive a Federal Pell grant of up to $5,500 and another additional $10,000 scholarship.
The president of the US knows how imperative it is for American citizens to earn a college education, which is why he is urging single moms to go back to school and get the degree they need in order to get more from life. A lot of single moms think that they will not be able to afford to go and earn a degree, but President Obama has introduced a brand new legislation to give single moms and low wage citizens grants so that they can study again.
These grants will be given to single moms who are living on a low income so that they can get the help they need to earn their degree. The best thing about the Federal Pell grant is that there is no need to pay them back to the government. Single moms as well as people on a low wage will be eligible for these grants and they will give moms the opportunity to return to college without the need for throwing their jobs in, and still giving them time to raise their families. How? By allowing moms to study online and still get a government grant. This will allow single moms to study in their own homes!
