Moms Go Back to Full Time Education with Government Funding

Eligible students can receive a Federal Pell grant of up to $5,500 and another additional $10,000 scholarship.

The USA values higher education and a college degree, which is why President Obama is supporting American citizens, including moms, in going back to school to earn their college degrees. Most moms and low wage citizens don’t think they can raise the money to return to school, but President Obama has bought in a new government legislation, offering grants to people who want to continue studying.

These grants, known as Federal Pell are money which is offered to moms and people on low wages who want to try to earn a degree at college. You don’t have to pay this grant back to the government. A lot of full time moms and low wage citizens will be able to apply for a grant like this. For single moms out there, they are also able to earn a degree without quitting their jobs or hiring sitters for their children because with a federal scholarship, they can also study online. This means that you are able to get a college education from your own home.
